Unique Ceremonies for Unique People

Each person lives his own life in a unique way and must be able to celebrate special events in an equally unique way. Secular-humanist celebrations give everyone the freedom to craft for themselves and their loved ones the ritual that best expresses their personal way of giving meaning to their lives.

NAMING CEREMONIES

It is said that when a child is born, the world is never ready for it. Few things change and pleasantly upset our lives as much as the birth of a baby does, independently of whether he was long sought after and desired or rather his arrival caught us almost by surprise.

Celebrating a birth, without religious motivation or affiliation and regardless of them, not only emphasizes the sheer joy of the arrival of a child, but it is also a way to present and welcome him as a new member of his own family and community.

UNIONS

All unions have a common feature: love. However, every love is born and built differently, and regenerates and sustains itself in its unique and special way, which only the spouses know. The scope of the celebrant is that of making the couple’s unique love story evident and founding in their ceremony.

In humanist celebrations the protagonists are the spouses, of any nation, gender and sexual orientation, beyond the pre-established rites. The scope of these celebrations is for spouses to be their own selves, together.

FUNERALS

We only have one life, and, just as we celebrate its beginning and try to live it to its fullest, it is also important that, at its end, those who remain remember and celebrate the past, what has been.
In a humanist rite, we do not concentrate our attention on an unknown afterlife.

Rather, while recalling with love a past lived together, its joys and sorrows, the people who attend a humanist funeral prepare for a future to be lived with the memory of a missing person, his example and inner wealth, as well as with an even stronger desire to live more fully their own lives.
